Musical Theatre Program Audition Information

Applications and audition registration for students participating in on-campus auditions are due by February 13, 2017.

Students participating in off-campus auditions at the National Unified Auditions must register online by January 13, 2017, and bring their application materials with them to their audition. Walk-up auditioners will be accepted as time permits.

1. Complete an application and submit the required supplemental documents, available for download below. Incomplete applications cannot be processed.

2. Register online to schedule an audition and pay a non-refundable $30 application fee.

3. Audition. We prefer that applicants audition in-person. Applicants may participate in our on-campus auditions at the University of Utah on Saturday, February 18, 2017, or audition in one of the cities we visit as part of the National Unified Auditions. If you are an applicant who lives outside of the United States, or in an extreme case where an in-person audition is not possible, you may submit a DVD with your application materials. (See below for more information)

Students admitted to the MTP must also be admitted to the University of Utah, which is separate application process. Please visit University of Utah Admissions website for more information and applications.

Applying for Financial Aid and Scholarships is also a separate process. Please visit University of Utah Financial Aid and Scholarships for more information and applications.

We are looking for talented individuals with commitment, stamina, a passion to perform, and the desire and willingness to learn.
