Jane England

Visiting Adjunct Professor


Jane has worked for the University of Utah Department of Theatre since August of 2011 teaching Script Analysis, Exploring Theatre, and Dramatic Arts in Television courses, as well as assisting in Theatre History and Theory courses. Before teaching at the University of Utah, Jane taught English courses at Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University, as well as English as a second language in such countries as Vietnam and Cambodia, where she also worked with NGOs in international development.

Jane has worked with study abroad programs for various universities and organizations since 1994. Since 2001, she has helped organize the annual University of Utah Department of Theatre, Fine Arts and Humanities London Study Abroad Program (a 2013 recipient of the University of Utah Beacons of Excellence award), and currently serves as Associate Director of the program. She also organizes the British Studies Program in London for the Department of English, and co-leads Continuing Education’s Go Learn: London on Stage tour.

Jane studied for her MA in English Literature from Brigham Young University. She also completed her post-graduate coursework in Development Studies and Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries at London School of Economics and Political Science.
