Tim Slover, Ph.D.



Dr. Tim Slover is a member of the Theatre Studies Program faculty, teaching courses in playwriting and dramatic literature. He also directs the Theatre, Fine Arts, and Humanities in London Learning Abroad Program and leads Continuing Education’s Go Learn: London on Stage tour.

Dr. Slover is an accomplished playwright and screenwriter whose works have been produced off-Broadway and in professional regional and university theatres all over the US, Canada, and UK. His writing awards include the Grand Prize, 65th Annual Writers Digest Writers Awards; the Christopher Brian Wolk Award for Playwriting Excellence; a Cine Golden Eagle; a Freedoms Foundation George Washington Honor Medal; and a Hopwood Award for Best Play. He was also a finalist for a Television Arts and Sciences Community Service Emmy. His plays are published by Samuel French, Inc., and Encore Performance Publishing. His writing has also appeared in the National Biography of American Theatre, Sunstone Magazine, and been published by Signature Books and Silverleaf Press.

Dr. Slover earned his B.A. in English at BYU and his M.A. and Ph.D. in English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan
