Set in a world where reality intertwines with magic and myth, The Owl Girl is a parable about the struggle for peace in the Middle East. Two families both have keys to the same house. They try to live together peaceably, but the domestic situation becomes as perilous as the world around them, torn apart by centuries of hatred. One daughter tries to fly above to see the terrain clearly, but when her dreams are shot down, the betrayals and realignments that follow cause everyone to question the very possibility of peace.
