Adjunct Instructor

Brandon Stauffer is a theatre professional, educator, and arts administrator with more than 20 years of experience spanning stage management, technical theatre, production management, design, directing, and organizational leadership.

He holds degrees in Technical Theatre Management from Utah State University and pursued graduate study at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Throughout his career, Brandon has worked in a wide range of theatrical environments, with professional experience that includes Cirque du Soleil, The Boarshead Theatre, and The Palm Springs Follies, as well as extensive work in educational, professional, and community-based theatre.

Brandon currently serves as a Stage Manager/Technical Director with Salt Lake County Arts & Culture at Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center and as an Adjunct Instructor in Stage Management at the University of Utah. His work focuses on the intersection of people and production, with an emphasis on communication, collaboration, organization, technical problem-solving, and creating environments in which artists and production teams can do their best work.

Previously, Brandon served as the founder and Executive Director of On Pitch Performing Arts (OPPA!), where he helped grow the organization from a small theatre education program into a multifaceted performing arts organization producing theatre, arts education, concerts, and community programming.

As an educator, Brandon brings real-world production experience into the classroom, helping emerging theatre artists understand not only the mechanics of stage management, but also the leadership, adaptability, communication, and human relationships that make live performance possible.
