The New Plays Workshop is a class where students develop their playwriting skills before staging a final reading to the public. Our students have been hard at work this semester to bring five new plays to life. This year, because of the current state of the world, they will be performing these captivating plays online through a live Zoom video call. Tune in each night, April 16-20, from 6 - 9 p.m. (MST) or view them afterward by visiting the Department of Theatre's Youtube channel.

A journey about a magical adventure.
April 17: Survival Instinct by Nat Quayle Nelson
A story of coding and the desire to make the world better.
April 18: Legitness! By Bryn Alexa Swain
A funny story about teenage love based on the novel “Emma” by Jane Austen.
April 19: One-Sided by Benjamin Stanford
A show about a family dealing with the dark parts of our society.
April 20: I Like Beer by Jayne Moyes
A verbatim play about the Judge Brett Kavanaugh hearing.
