Christine Moore

Adjunct Assistant Professor

Christine Moore is a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer from Canada. She has her MFA and BFA from the University of Utah, where she majored in Ballet with an emphasis in Teaching, Performing, and Choreography. Christine has extensive training in many forms of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and theatre dance. She began dancing at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School where she was in the professional ballet division. Christine has also trained at Banff Fine Arts Centre (Banff, Alberta), University of Utah (Salt Lake City), Steps Performing Arts Centre (New York City) and The Edge (Los Angeles).

Christine’s professional career includes performance and choreographic work on stage, television, films, and commercials. She has performed across the North American continent and overseas in Korea. Christine can be seen in the hit movie Hairspray by New Line Cinema starring Michelle Pfeiffer, John Travolta, Christopher Walken. Some of her other credits include Eoy Silhouette (Wolfson Bell), Everything’s Gone Green (Radke Films) and a commercial for Splenda. Her theatre credits include White Christmas, 42nd Street, Man of La Mancha (Pioneer Theatre Company); Guys and Dolls (Port Hope Theatre); The Producers, White Christmas (Neptune Theatre); The Music Man (Rainbow Stage); and Guys and Dolls (StageWest). Dance works include Cascades, Bride’s Tree, and Vivaldi’s Concerto (Utah Ballet), “Stardust Follies” (Diamond Entertainment), numerous industrials shows including Fashion Cares.

Christine teaches at the University of Utah, as well as numerous schools and professional studios including Metro Movement, Sheridan College and Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Her choreography has been showcased in the American College Dance Festival, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas show PBS Special, and various musicals and industrial shows. Christine also adjudicates and is on audition panels for amateur and professional dance competitions across Canada and the USA.
