"…there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany and it was the end of the world ... and we were both fast asleep…"

New Year’s Eve, 1929: American writer Cliff Bradshaw arrives in Germany and winds up at the seedy, seductive Kit Kat Klub. That night, Cliff meets Sally Bowles: a wildly charismatic British chanteuse. Less than a day later, they are sharing a one-room apartment.

Despite the growing sense of danger and uncertainty surrounding them, Cliff and Sally cling to their dreams and one another, lost in the decadent chaos of 1930s Berlin. Tomorrow may belong to someone else, but for tonight, life is beautiful.

Kander and Ebb’s timeless, uncompromising musical CABARET captures the frantic hedonism and despair of a moment between two world wars—when the twilight of the Weimar Republic became a harbinger of the darkness to come.
