Nicholas Dunn

Nicholas Dunn is an actor, writer, teacher and filmmaker in Salt Lake City. As an actor, he has appeared on stage at Pioneer Theatre Company (Othello, Romeo & Juliet, 42nd Street), the Lyric Rep Company (Amadeus, Big River, Private Lives, Mousetrap, Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged) The Grand Theatre (Inherit the Wind), the Neil Simon Festival (Come Blow Your Horn), and Wasatch Theatre Company (W;t, Dinner) and on film with Magnolia Pictures, the WB, KUED, and a number of commercials and industrials.

As a writer, his work has been seen at Kingsbury Hall, the Babcock Theatre, the Unicorn Theatre in Logan Utah, the Rio Theater in Helper, Utah, Wasatch Theatre Company, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, the Fear No Film Festival, and on HBO. Nicholas is also an owner of Overcranked Pictures LLC, where he has written, shot, and/or directed a number of films, commercials, industrials, and music videos. He also serves as a board member for Wasatch Theatre Company.

Nicholas holds an Associates degree in Theatre Studies from Utah State Eastern, a BFA in Acting from the University of Utah, and is currently working on his MFA in playwriting and screenwriting at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a graduate of the SLFS Screenwriter’s program, and is a member of the Dramatists Guild, and an associate member of the Writer’s Guild of America.
