Jamie Peterson

Jamie Baer Peterson, is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and the Eastman School of Music. She began her opera career as an apprentice with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and her career as an opera singer lead her to perform throughout the United States, Canada and France singing leading roles with L'Opera de Nice, Santa Fe Opera, New York City Opera, Central City Opera, Utah Festival Opera and Minnesota Opera to name a few. She also sang as a soloist with the Symphonies of Dallas, Atlanta, Hartford, Omaha, Princeton and Westfield; and in two national broadcasts with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Jamie has taught voice to all ages at the Wharton Institute of Performing Arts in New Jersey, Monmouth University, SUNY Fredonia and in her own studio for over 25 years. She is currently on the faculty at the University of Utah in their Music Theatre Dept. and new to the faculty of Utah Conservatory. This Summer she and her family moved to Salt Lake City after 30 years in NYC and NJ.
