- Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Acting in Film/Media in the Theatre Department | The University of Utah’s Department of Theatre seeks a Career-Line Assistant Professor (Lecturer) position who is an exceptional educator and artist. The ideal candidate will demonstrate innovative teaching methods and a forward-thinking approach to the skills and literacy necessary for students to thrive in contemporary theatre and film practices. This role is focused on teaching, with 90% of responsibilities dedicated to instruction and the remaining 10% to service. The Assistant Professor (Lecturer) will be responsible for teaching eight 3-credit courses per year or an equivalent load in hours. Based on experience, directing opportunities are available. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses that are part of the core curriculum as well as courses in their specific areas of expertise. These areas may include acting for stage, film acting, media performance, directing, or playwrighting. Their contributions will support the interdisciplinary ethos that is central to our BA and BFA Programs.
- Theatre Office Manager | The Department of Theatre and Youth Theatre at the University is seeking a Theatre Office Manager to support essential office operations. This role involves assisting with a variety of tasks, including responding to phone and email inquiries, managing room requests, and procuring office supplies. Additionally, the Theatre Office Manager will play a key role in recruitment efforts, which may include traveling to recruitment events.
