Program Highlights

Not Just the First, the Only

Our one-of-a-kind (and the longest-standing program in the state) Stage Management program offers you deep and comprehensive instruction. Not only will you take the technical design basics of costumes, props, scenic, sound, lighting and makeup, but we pack your schedule with 4 advanced skills courses, 6 hands-on project courses, and 8 semesters seminar, all specific to stage management.

Culture of Belonging

We call it a family, because when you’re constantly working together, helping and supporting each other, and making lifelong bonds, what else could it be? And ours is a family where folks from all walks of life, as long as you’re hardworking and dedicated to Theatre, belong. You belong.

Earn While You Learn

Stage management students are encouraged to work in the scene and prop shops, or as production management assistants. This allows you to be as active in the program while maintaining a flexible schedule that truly understands what “tech week” means.

Successful alumni

Few students leave college as prepared and confident as our alumni. From local companies to Cirque du Soliel, our students catapult from school into the modern theatre workforce.
