Music Director
Alex Marshall is a versatile scholar having completed two degrees from the University of Utah – a B.M. in Piano Performance and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Hailed by the press as a musician “you have to see…perform to completely understand what a rare talent he is” and “who deserves praise for his talent and ability,” Alex can be found throughout Salt Lake as an active member of the professional musical community performing in classical, rock, jazz, and musical theatre styles playing with the premier musical groups and institutions of Salt Lake City including the University of Utah and the Utah Symphony.
Production credits include music director of Lexi Walker’s 2016 National Theatre & Concert Hall Christmas Concert (National Concert Hall, Taiwan), Dogfight (Babcock Theatre), Bring It On (Hayes Christensen Theatre), Into the Woods (Studio 115), Hello Dolly! (Kingsbury Hall), American Idiot (Hayes Christensen Theatre), Spring Awakening (Babcock Theatre), and Sweeney Todd (Babcock Theatre). He was also commissioned by the University of Utah to compose and music direct Pomp and Circumstance: A New Musical (Studio 115).
