COVID POLICY: For the safety of our community, we ask that our patrons follow recent CDC guidance, which calls for everyone to wear face masks indoors. We also ask patrons not to attend if they have been exposed to COVID-19 or are feeling unwell. We will provide face masks for anyone who wants one, and we have reduced our seating capacity in an effort to provide a more comfortable experience for our patrons and our company.

The University of Utah continues to monitor the current public health situation and may adapt these policies at any time.

LATE SEATING POLICY: The Department of Theatre is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable experience for our patrons as well as our theatre artists. As such, late seating will not be permitted at this production. If a performance is delayed for any reason, late patrons may be seated before the performance begins at the discretion of the House Manager. If we are unable to seat you, you may contact the box office for a refund or exchange, depending on availability. If you have additional questions about our late seating policy, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Rebellion is coming in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
