We are excited by the strong interest in our theatre programs and are continuing to work with students who are completing their application and audition processes.
Musical Theatre Program (BFA)
Due to high demand, the Musical Theatre Program is no longer accepting new applications or auditions for Fall 2026.
If you have already auditioned but have not yet completed your Musical Theatre Program application, please contact us as soon as possible at
Actor Training (BFA), Theatre Teaching (BFA), Stage Management (BFA)
We are still accepting walk-in auditions and interviews for Fall 2026.

Step 1 — Begin your University of Utah academic application
Final deadline to apply academically: April 1, 2026
Step 2 — Submit your program materials
Select Walk-In
Then select Other when prompted
Submit materials for Actor Training, Stage Management, or Theatre Teaching
Step 3 — Schedule your audition or interview

Important Timing Note
You may audition or interview before completing your academic application or submitting program materials.
However, final admission decisions cannot be made until both your academic application and area materials are completed.
Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (BA)
Admission to the BA in Theatre is open to all students who are academically admitted to the University of Utah. Final deadline to apply academically: April 1, 2026
A separate audition or portfolio submission is not required.
